Southwark Blossoms

Schools across Southwark will now be joining STfL’s school trees programme. Street Trees for Living is partnering with Southwark Council to deliver trees for schools in Southwark this winter.

Oli Back, STfL project co-ordinator said: “We are pleased to be expanding into our neighbouring borough and share our community engagement work with Southwark Council. Our schools work will deliver the many benefits of street trees to local residents. Interest from Southwark schools is high, and we are looking forward to working with them to fundraise and set up a care programme for the trees.”

If you know of a school who might be interested (in Southwark or another borough) then contact Oli on oli@streettreesforliving.org

Southwark and Lewisham Blossoms are Street Trees for Living’s targeted street tree planting programmes. Our aim is to plant more street trees in areas of low tree canopy, high air pollution and where residents have limited access to green space.

The programme has been enabled by the Greater London Authorities coordination of the London Urban Forestry Partnership, of which Street Trees for Living is a partner. Supported by the Trees Call to Action Fund
